This is the fifth year of the Ashokan Rail Trail (ART) 8-Mile Run, which is run entirely on a well-groomed unpaved carriage path paralleling the beautiful Ashokan Reservoir in Ulster County. The race starts and finishes at the Woodstock Dike Trailhead of the ART in West Hurley, NY.
Parking (free) is limited, so we have a cap of 100 participants, and carpooling is strongly urged/needed.
There will be awards for the first man and woman overall, the top 3 in all standard age groups, and a commemorative item for the first 100 registrants.
The race starts at 8 am to beat the heat, and packet pickup begins at 7 am.
This event is race #5 of the Onteora Runners Club 2025 Grand Prix and is open to everyone. A portion of the proceeds will be donated to the Woodstock Land Conservancy. An organization that helpsmaintain the ART for community use.
