51st New Paltz Summer Cross Country Series
2024 Races from 3 to 4.7 Miles and children’s ½ and 1-mile races  
Spectacularly Scenic Courses on Carriage Trails

BIB PICKUP STARTS AT 6 PM

KIDS START AT 6:45 PM; ADULTS IMMEDIATELY FOLLOWING (~7 pm)

Monday, July 8: Mohonk Preserve “Undercliff/Overcliff”: 4.7 miles; start at metal bridge-parking at West Trapps Trailhead/Mohonk Preserve, Rte 44/55- directions available at www.mohonkpreserve.org. 

Monday, July 15: $10.00 per car entry to park. Minnewaska State Park Preserve “Patterson’s Pellet”; 3 miles; start at the lake, out/back on Millbrook Trail.

Monday, July 22: $10.00 per car entry to park. Minnewaska State Park Preserve "Blueberry Run"; 4 plus miles; start at the lake and over the old golf course.  

Monday, July 29: Mohonk Preserve “Lou’s Run”; 4 plus miles on single track and carriage paths, fast finish; parking at Spring Farm Trailhead/Mohonk Preserve, directions available at www.mohonkpreserve.org.

Monday, August 5: Awards and Fun Run, New Paltz Rail Trail (WVRT). Garvan’s Gastropub (215 Huguenot St, New Paltz, NY 12561)

Individual: $25.00;

Child/high school/college runners: $10.00.  

Existing/Current Shawangunk Runners Members: no fee. The discount is available via the club race calendar in the membership portal. You must log in and click on the race listed in the calendar to get the discount applied when you register.

FAMILY MEMBERSHIPS: **Each family member must login in separately for their own discount.** Contact info@zippyreg.com for assistance.


●     All registrants will receive a weekly informational email with parking, course map/directions, and other pertinent details.


●    Awards-  Top age-group finishers in each in-person race will score 6 points; points will be awarded in descending order (5,4,3,2); all finishers will score at least 1 point each race. Highest totals win at the end of the series. All participants scoring at least 4 points and finishing a minimum of 2 races will receive handmade ceramic awards made by Solveig Comer of Most Precious Pottery.
