Please join us for the 7th Annual Dan Provost Memorial Walk for Awareness and Recovery, a 1.25 mile family friendly walk around Gavin Park to raise awareness of addictions. The walk is stroller friendly. Numerous recovery resources and free Narcan training will be available as well as wonderful raffle items and activities for kids. Please visit our Facebook page for photos and videos on the Dan Provost Memorial Walk

Dan Provost lived his entire life in Saratoga Springs and passed away in 2014, at age 23, as a result of a drug overdose, after struggling for several years with substance use disorder. The purpose of this Memorial Walk is to remember lives taken too soon, raise awareness of addiction, educate the community about recovery services, and celebrate those living in recovery.

Past proceeds of this event have benefitted Recovery Advocacy in Saratoga (RAIS), the Healing Springs Recovery Community & Outreach Center, New Choices Recovery Center, CAPTAIN Community Human Services, and other recovery and education programs. RAIS is the volunteer collective voice of hope for individuals and families impacted by addiction. Its mission is to reduce stigma, educate and advocate for quality services.

Healing Springs Recovery & Outreach Center is a substance free, supportive, recovery-oriented facility offering a safe place to be on the journey to recovery. It is a peer-driven and peer-delivered support services-based organization. It also connects individuals and families to recovery resources.

Contributions made directly to Healing Springs Recovery Community & Outreach Center are under the auspices of The Prevention Council, a 501(c)(3) corporation, and all contributions made to the Prevention Council (and noted for the Walk) are tax deductible.
