More about this event

Basketball Unity will be at America's Trot for Hunger!

Basketball Unity is participating in America's Trot for Hunger in support of SOME (So Others Might Eat)! We hope you will consider joining and racing with us and donating to support this crucial mission.

America's Trot for Hunger raises essential funds and awareness to alleviate hunger in our nation's capital and communities nationwide. Proceeds from the Trot allows SOME to provide services for thousands of families and single adults experiencing homelessness, by providing access to food, clothing, healthcare, employment training, and long-term comprehensive addiction treatment programs. The ongoing COVID-19 pandemic has only increased the need for SOME's vital services and support.

Our team wants you to get involved in America's Trot for Hunger by:

  • Registering and joining the event in person or virtually - you can either join me by clicking register on this page, or you can start your own team. The virtual option allows you to join from anywhere throughout the month of November, so you do not need to be in DC to participate.
  • Consider making a tax-deductible contribution in our team's name or that of one of our registered teammates. Your support can make a world of difference for our neighbors in DC.

Donations can be made directly on this page using a credit or debate card, or via PayPal or Venmo. Checks may be made payable to America's Trot for Hunger with a team or participant's name in the memo line and mailed to:

Trot for Hunger
71 "O" Street, NW

If you have any questions about America's Trot for Hunger, please email trotforhunger@some.org. As you consider your holiday plans this year, we hope you will join us in making Thanksgiving not only a day of gratitude but a day of action.
