Hudson-Mohawk Road Runners Club
The
Hudson-Mohawk Road Runners Club is a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit
charitable organization that was incorporated in 1971. It currently
has nearly 3,000 members from throughout the Capital District
and is one of the largest running clubs in the nation.
HMRRC relies on the CDPHP® Workforce
Team Challenge as a major fundraiser to underwrite the club’s
many activities and offerings, including:
- Promotion of healthy lifestyles through exercise and
running
- 34 other running events per year, held at different
locations throughout the Capital Region, open to the public and designed
for runners of all levels — from novices to veterans
- Inclusion of wheelchair entrants in many club races
and activities
- Seminars and clinics for runners
- A Hall of Fame that honors individuals who have earned extraordinary distinction as a member of HMRRC
- Scholarships to college-bound high school seniors
- An annual banquet to recognize outstanding athletes and volunteers
- Special events to encourage children’s running
and conditioning
- A website that posts results of local road races and links
to helpful sites

- Colonie Summer Track events
- Tawasentha series (European-style cross-country races)
- SEFCU Labor Day 5K
- Mohawk Hudson River Marathon and Hannaford Half
- MVP Health Care Stockade-athon 15K
