On April 21, 2024, I will be participating in the Hero 5K for Autism.
Many of you know my son, Jimmy, was diagnosed with Autism when he was three years old. The Autism Society was a critical resource for me then - we attended numerous events and parent trainings that helped us feel supported and empowered to parent a child with different needs and abilities. Now, the Autism Society is focusing on programs for college age kids and adults as well - resources that are very needed and in short supply.
